Title: Nestor's Stuffed Cabbage Glomki (Go-Wump-Key)

Yield: 10 servings
1 c Rice
1 lg Head cabbage
2 lb Ground beef
1 lg Onion chopped
1 lg Egg; beaten
Salt & pepper
21 1/2 oz (2 cans) tomato soup
1/4 lb Bacon; uncooked
Cook rice, set aside. Set oven @ 350ºF/175ºC.
In a large pot of boiling water,add whole head of
cabbage, boil 10 minutes.Remove from pot. Cut out the
core, and softened outside cabbage leaves.Set aside.
Return cabbage head to boiling water and boil a few
minutes more, until more leaves are softened.
In a large bowl, combine cooked rice,hamburger,onion,
egg, salt and pepper. Mix well. In each cabbage leaf put
2-3 Tablespoons of meat mixture on the thick part of
each leaf..Fold each side in and roll all leaves. Secure
with a tooth pick. Place rolls in a casserole dish with
a lid. Seam side down.If you have to you can stack
rolls. Pour soup and water over cabbage bundles.Lay
strips of bacon over the top of bundles.
Cover and bake 30 minutes. Then reduce heat to 250
degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Baste occasionally with the
tomato soup in the casserole. 1/2 hour before done,
remove lid to brown bacon.
