With a Technician Class license, you can use the Voice Over Internet
Protocol mode of Echolink, and you don't need a radio, antennas, etc.
Just an internet connection (preferably DSL or high speed), a sound
card, and either a headset mic, or a desktop mic and speakers. And, you
can still talk to other ham radio operators around the world. It's a
great thing for those like myself living in a place with antenna

And, you can have your callsign in 1 to 2 weeks after you pass the

This forum contains echomail areas hosted on Nightmare BBS You can browse local echomail areas, italian fidonet areas and a selection of international fidonet areas, reading messages posted by users in Nightmare BBS or even other BBSs all over the world. You can find file areas too (functional to fidonet technology). You can browse echomail areas and download files with no registration, but if you want to write messages in echomail areas, or use fidonet netmail (private messages with fidomet technology), you have to register.
