Title: Old-Fashioned Oven Beef Stew

1 1/2 lb Beef stew meat
3 tb All-purpose flour
2 lb Frozen vegetables for stew
14 1/2 oz Can diced tomatoes;
20 oz (2 cans) beef consomme (10
- oz each)
1 tb Sugar
1/8 ts Pepper
2 Dried bay leaves
Heat oven to 325ºF/160ºC. In 5-quart Dutch oven or 13" x 9"
(3-qt) glass baking dish, toss beef with flour. Add frozen
In large bowl, mix remaining ingredients. Pour over beef and
vegetables; gently stir until mixed.
Cover; bake 3 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours or until beef is
tender. Remove bay leaves before serving.
